and Other Sweet Lollies
For those who misuse the word love even kids have a better understanding than adults. A group of professional people posted this question to a group of 4 to 8 year olds. "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.
When my grandma got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandpa does it for her now all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love. Rebecca - age 8
When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouths. Billy - age 4

Love is when mommy sees daddy on the toilet and doesn't think it's gross. Mark - age 6
You really shouldn't say "I LOVE YOU" unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget. Jessica - age 8
And the winner was a 4 year old child whose next door neighbour was an elderly man who had just lost his wife. When the child saw the man cry, the little boy went over into the man's yard and climbed on top of the man's lap and just sat there. When the boy's mother asked him what he'd said to the neighbour, the little boy
said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry."
Where is the natural order of things?
At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves learning disabled children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended.
After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question.
"When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?"
The audience was stilled by the query.
The father continued. "I believe, that when a child like Shay comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes, in the way other people treat that child."
Then he told the following story:
Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball.
Shay asked, "Do you think they'll let me pay?"
Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging. Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked if Shay could play.
The boy looked around for guidance and, getting none, he took matters into his own hands and said, "We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning."
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three.
In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the outfield. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.
At this juncture, would they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible 'cause Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.
However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least be able to make contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay.
As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.
Instead, the pitcher took the ball and turned and threw the ball on a high arc to right field, far beyond the reach of the first baseman.
Everyone started yelling, "Shay, run to first! Run to first!"
Never in his life had Shay ever made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.
Everyone yelled, "Run to second, run to second!"
By the time Shay rounded first base, the right fielder had the ball. He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions and intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head. Shay ran toward second base as the runners ahead of him deliriously circled the bases toward home. Shay reached second base, the opposing shortstop ran to him, turned him in the direction of third base, and shouted, "Run to third!"
As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams were screaming, "Shay, run home!" Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the "grand slam" and won the game for his team.
"That day," said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, "the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world."
After Sept. 11th, one company invited the remaining members of other companies who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to share their available office space. At a morning meeting, the head of security told stories of why these people were alive...... and all the stories were just: The 'L I T T L E' things .
As you might know, the head
of the company got in late that day because his son started kindergarten. Another
fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts. One woman was late
because her alarm clock didn't go off in time. One was late because of being
stuck on the NJ Turnpike because of an auto accident. One of them missed his
bus. One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change. One's car
wouldn't start. One went back to answer the telephone. One had a child that
dawdled and didn't get ready as soon as he should have. One couldn't get a taxi.
Then there was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, took the
various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed a blister
on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid. That is why he is
Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing telephone .... all the little things that annoy me. I think to myself, this is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment.
Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the children are slow getting dressed, you can't seem to find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don't get mad or frustrated; God is at work watching over you. May God continue to bless you with all those annoying little things and may you remember their possible purpose.
The Wisdom of Will Rogers
Will Rogers, who died in a plane crash with Wylie Post in 1935, was probably the greatest political sage this country has ever known. Enjoy the following:
1. Never slap a man who's chewing tobacco.
2. Never kick a cow chip on a hot day.
3. There are 2 theories to arguing with a woman...neither works.
4. Never miss a good chance to shut up.
5. Always drink upstream from the herd.
6. If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.
7. The quickest way to double your money is to fold it and put it back in your pocket.
8. There are three kinds of men: The ones that learn by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.
9. Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
10. If you're riding' ahead of the herd, take a look back every now and then to make sure it's still there.
11. Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier'n puttin' it back.
12. After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him. The moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.
ABOUT GROWING OLDER...
First ~ Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it.
Second ~ The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.
Third ~ Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.
Fourth ~ When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to youth, think of Algebra.
Fifth ~ You know you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks.
Sixth ~ I don't know how I got over the hill without getting to the top.
Seventh ~ One of the many things no one tells you about aging is that it is such a nice change from being young.
Eighth ~ One must wait until evening to see how splendid the day has been.
Ninth ~ Being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable.
Tenth ~ Long ago when men cursed and beat the ground with sticks, it was called witchcraft. Today it's called golf.
And finally ~ If you don't learn to laugh at trouble, you won't have anything to laugh at when you are old.
The Essence of Love
The lark and the chickadee had a conversation. They were discussing love. It was quite a discussion, quite an argument, almost. For they had very different ideas.
Is love getting or giving? Well, said the lark, I think it is in the giving. When I sing, the lovers are drawn together, and I feel love when I give them this little treat. I believe it is in the giving and that is all that really matters.
Ah, said the chickadee,
that is because you are focusing only on yourself. What of the lovers? They
are not only giving, they are getting as well. They are being together, touching,
giving and getting, exchanging. Obviously, love is best when it is an even trade,
when each gives and gets an equal amount. This is the essence of love.
But neither of them truly knew, because neither the lark nor the chickadee goes to the heart of love, knows the heart of love. No. This belongs to the dove.
For the dove knows that love lies neither in the giving nor in the getting. The dove knows that love is simply what overflows out of the heart that is full of peace.
The heart that is full of peace begins to glow and overflow. And the heart full of peace cannot help but do this, for this is the essence of inner peace, to overflow and become more than you were.
And of course, in this overflow, there is a giving, since others can share in the peace. And of course in this peace there is a getting, because you are getting the heart of the world, when you get internal peace.
But the true essence of love, you see, is love for yourself, love focused within. Loving yourself so deeply, so quietly and peacefully, that the love for yourself becomes love for the world and everyone else in it.
And why should love of the self be good? Because we are talking of the inner self, the deep self which is one with the flow. And this inner self which is one with the flow is also one with everything else in the flow.
And what else is in the
flow? Everyone and everything. So you see, when you love yourself, you automatically
love everyone else, everyone else in the world.
For you are all one.
My Favourite Quado Message, from Saturday, March 6, 1999, 5:00 p.m.
A Native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt. He said, "I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is the vengeful, angry, violent one. The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one."
The grandson asked him, "Which wolf will win the fight in your heart?"
The grandfather answered,
"The one I feed."
Arthur, Gawain and the Witch:
Young King Arthur was ambushed, and imprisoned, by the monarch of neighbouring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him, but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So the monarch offered him freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer; if, after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.
The question: What do women really want?
Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man and to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end.
He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everybody: the princess, the prostitutes, the priests, the wise men, the court jester. He spoke with everyone, but no-one could give him a satisfactory answer.
Many people advised him to consult the old witch - only she would know the answer. The price would be high; the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged. The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no alternative but to talk to the witch.
She agreed to answer his question, but he'd have to accept her price.
First: The old witch wanted to marry Gawain, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table and Arthur's closest friend! Young Arthur was horrified: She was hunchbacked, and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises... etc.. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature.
He refused to force his friend to marry her and have to endure such a burden. Gawain, upon learning of the proposal, spoke with Arthur. He told him that nothing was too big a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table. Hence, their wedding was proclaimed, and the witch answered Arthur's question thus:
”What a woman really wants is to be in charge of her own life. Everyone instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth and that Arthur's life would be spared. And so it was. The neighbouring monarch granted Arthur total freedom.
What a wedding Gawain and the witch had! Arthur was torn between relief and anguish. Gawain was proper as always, gentle and courteous. The old witch put her worst manners on display, and generally made everyone very uncomfortable. The hour approached. Gawain, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But what a sight awaited him! The most beautiful woman he'd ever seen lay before him! The astounded Gawain asked what had happened. The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she'd appeared as a witch, she would henceforth be her horrible, deformed self half the time, and the other half, she would be her beautiful maiden self.
Which would he want her to be during the day, and which during the night? What a cruel question! Gawain pondered his predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his home, an old witch? Or would he prefer having by day a hideous witch, but by night a beautiful woman with whom to enjoy many intimate moments?
What would you do? What Gawain chose follows below, but don't read until you've made your own choice.
Noble Gawain replied that he would let her choose for herself. Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time, because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.
What is the moral of this story?
The moral is: If
your woman doesn't get her own way, things are going to get ugly.
The Triple Filter Test
In ancient Greece, scholar and intellectual Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in high esteem. One day an acquaintance met the great philosopher and said,
"Do you know what I just heard about one of your friends?"
"Hold on a minute," Dr. Socrates replied. "Before telling me anything I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test."
"Triple filter?" asked the man.
"That's right," Socrates continued.
"Before you talk to
me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what
you're going to say. That's why I call it the triple filter test. The first
filter is Truth. Have you made
absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"
"No," the man said, "actually I just heard about it and wanted to tell it to you"
"All right," said Socrates. "So you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second filter, the filter of goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?"
"No, on the contrary, it is bad "
continued, "you want to tell me something bad about him, but you're not
certain it's true. You may still pass the test though, Because there's one filter
left: the filter of usefulness. Is
what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?"
"No, not really." Replied the man.
Socrates, if what you want to tell me is neither true, nor good, and nor even
useful to me, why tell it to me at all ?"

The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open and our heads above the water. See who is in there with you and celebrate.
At this time in history,

A couple had a two year old boy and the woman was pregnant with a new baby. During the pregnancy their little boy kept telling them that as soon as they brought the new baby home, he wanted to be alone with it.
Well, the time came and
she gave birth to a new baby, (I don’t recall the gender), they brought
the baby home and as soon as they settled the baby down in its room, the two
year old said that he wanted to be alone with the baby. The baby’s room
was equipped with a baby monitor, so the parents were able to eaves drop on
the conversation, this is what the little boy said, “Tell me about God,
I’m starting to forget”.
"Two Babies in a Manger"
In 1994, two Americans answered an invitation from the Russian Department of Education to teach morals and ethics (based on biblical principles) in the public schools. They were invited to teach at prisons, businesses, the fire and police departments and a large orphanage. About 100 boys and girls who had been abandoned, abused, and left in the care of a government-run program were in he orphanage. They relate the following story in their own words:
It was nearing the holiday season, 1994, time for our orphans to hear, for the first time, the traditional story of Christmas. We told them about Mary and Joseph arriving in Bethlehem. Finding no room in the inn, the couple went to a stable, where the baby Jesus was born and placed in a manger.
Throughout the story, the children and orphanage staff sat in amazement as they listened. Some sat on the edges of their stools, trying to grasp every word. Completing the story, we gave the children three small pieces of cardboard to make a crude manger. Each child was given a small paper square, cut from yellow napkins I had brought with me. No colored paper was available in the city. Following instructions, the children tore the paper and carefully laid strips in the manger for straw.
Small squares of flannel [cut from a worn-out nightgown an American lady was throwing away as she left Russia], were used for the baby's blanket. A doll-like baby was cut from tan felt we had brought from the United States. The orphans were busy assembling their manger as I walked among them to see if they needed any help.
All went well until I got to one table where little Misha sat. He looked to be about 6-years-old and had finished his project. As I looked at the little boy's manger, was startled to see not one, but two babies in the manger. Quickly, I called for the translator to ask the lad why there were two babies in the manger.
Crossing his arms in front of him and looking at this completed manger scene, the child began to repeat the story very seriously. For such a young boy, who had only heard the Christmas story once, he related the happenings accurately -- until he came to the part where Mary put the baby Jesus in the manger. Then Misha started to ad-lib. He made up his own ending to the story as he said, "And when Mary laid the baby in the manger, Jesus looked at me and asked me if I had a place to stay. I told him I have no mamma and I have no papa, so I don't have any place to stay.
Then Jesus told me I could stay with Him. But I told him I couldn't, because I didn't have a gift to give Him like everybody else did. But I wanted to stay with Jesus so much, so I thought about what I had that maybe I could use for a gift. I thought maybe if I kept Him warm, that would be a good gift.
"So I asked Jesus, 'If I keep you warm, will that be a good enough gift?' And Jesus told me, 'If you keep Me warm, that will be the best gift anybody ever gave Me.' So I got into the manger, and then Jesus looked at me and He told me I could stay with Him -- for always."
As little Misha finished his story, his eyes brimmed full of tears that splashed down his little cheeks. Putting his hand over his face, his head dropped to the table and his shoulders shook as he sobbed and sobbed. The little orphan had found someone who would never abandon nor abuse him, Someone who would stay with him -- for always!
And the Americans? They had learned the lesson they had come there to teach -- that it is not what you have in your life, but Who you have in your life that really counts. We all should give thanks for the people that "keep us warm" in life; and for all of God's many blessings to us: freedom from want, life, love, togetherness, and for the enduring love of Jesus Christ, the one person who keeps us warm and safe for always.
THE SEVEN WONDERS
A group of Geography students
were studying the Seven Wonders of the
World. At the end of that section, the students were asked to list what
they thought were the present Seven Wonders of the World. Though there
was a difference of opinion; the following received the most votes:
1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
2. The Taj Mahal
3. Grand Canyon
4. Panama Canal
5. Empire State Building
6. St. Peter's Basilica
7. China's Great Wall
After the teacher had tallied
the votes, she noted that one student, a quiet boy, hadn't turned in his paper.
She asked the boy if he was having trouble with the list. The boy replied, "Yes.
I couldn't make up my mind because there were so many to choose from, but I
think I have them now. The teacher said, "Well tell us what you have."
The boy hesitated, then read, "I think the Seven
Wonders of the World are:
1. to touch
2. to taste
3. to see
4. to hear
5. to feel
6. to laugh
7. and to love
The room was full of silence.
It is far too easy to look at the exploits of man and refer to them as "wonders"
-- while we overlook all God has done for us regarding them as merely ordinary.
Technical Support - Heart Division
Tech Support: Yes ma'am, how can I help you?
Customer: Well, after much consideration, I've decided to install Love. Can you guide me through the process?
Tech Support: Yes I can help you, are you ready to proceed?
Customer: Well, I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready. What do I do first?
Tech Support: The first step is to open your Heart. Have you located your Heart ma'am?
Customer: Yes, but there are several other programs running now. Is it okay to install Love while they are running?
Tech Support: What programs are running ma'am?
Customer: Let's see, I have Past-Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge, and Resentment running right now.
Tech Support: No problem, Love will gradually erase Past-Hurt from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory, but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will eventually override Low Self-Esteem with a module of it's own called High Self-Esteem. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge and Resentment. Those programs prevent Love from being properly installed. Can you turn those off ma'am?
Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?
Tech Support: With pleasure. Go to your start menu and invoke Forgiveness. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge and Resentment have completely erased.
Customer: Okay done, Love has started installing itself. Is that normal?
Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the upgrades.
Customer: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, "Error-program not run on external components. What should I do?
Tech Support: Don't worry ma'am, It means the Love program is set-up to run on Internal Hearts but has not yet been run on your Heart. In non-technical terms, it means you have to Love yourself before you can Love others.
Customer: So what should I do?
Tech Support: Can you pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the following files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge Your Limitations.
Customer: OK, done.
Tech Support: Now copy them to the "My Heart" directory. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming. Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.
Customer: Got it. Hey!!! My Heart is filling up with new files. Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over My Heart. Is this normal?
Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes a while, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running. One more thing before we hang-up, Love is Freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.
Customer: I promise to do just that. By the way, what's your name?
Tech Support: Just call me the Divine Cardiologist, also known as the Great Physician, or just "I AM." Most people feel all they need is an annual checkup to stay heart-healthy; but the manufacturer (ME) suggests a daily maintenance schedule for maximum Love efficiency.

"The End of Time, The In-Between Time, The Beginning of Times"
We would like to extend to you now in this concept that we are perceiving from our point of view, with our senses... that there is a template grinding into position like a large, slowly turning gear… but that this template is almost in position, the balls have almost fallen into all the slots, all the set-ups of your collective consciousness are almost in place… to allow there to be the opening of the floodgates of information, the continued acceleration of happenstance, the continued revelation of everyone's position, where they stand…what they stand for… who they are…who they hold themselves to be, in your present year…in your next year…and the year after that, the last times prior to your demarcation year of what you call your 2001.
In these moments, as this
template moves into its final position, and all things fall into place,
there will be an acceleration of revelation of information, as many things become more clear,
and as it becomes less and less possible for ideas and information to be withheld and kept secret.
Now, that will be the time that each and every one of you, must, if you are willing...take firm grasp… firm hold of your idea of yourself…your identity, of your ideal of who and what you are... and pay attention to your own estimation of how much in alignment or not you are to your Ideal Self.
For in these last few moments, as the template grinds into position…into final position, before the beginning of times, in this middle time…this brief middle time, of the next two and a half of your orbits, two and a half of your years, this will be the time allowed, in a sense, by your collective consciousness for all the components, that is each and every one of you, components of the collective, all the time you have allowed yourselves to come to terms, to come to understanding… not in the sense of ultimate completion in this life, but in the sense of knowing…in the sense of choosing… in the sense of determining… in the sense of making the decision about who you are, moving forward with that in all the ways that you can with regard to your behavior and your actions.
For as the template grinds into position, it will not leave many cracks to slip through… in fact it will leave none. And if you do not find yourself, and we do not say this to be alarmists, but if you do not find yourself in total surrender of who you are, in letting go and being who you are created to be, within this next two and a half years, you may find a great deal of difficulty finding any crack to slip through, any opening in the doorway to cross to the other side…over the threshold.
Now is the last moment of limbo that you have. Now is the last moment of neutrality that you have to make up your mind as to who you are and to behave as such…to act as such… to make a commitment, as such…to yourself. And to realize, finally and more fully, that there is no difference between what you call your true will, and that which you term the Will of God. That when you become your True Self, what you have called the Will of God and your own true will... will be synonymous...one and the same. No conflict…No contradiction…No dichotomy. Awakening to the recognition that you are all aspects of the Infinite, and the experience of that recognition will begin to fully bloom and to take its place in your society in a practical, effective, experiential way.
Please remember that all
this talk about the template grinding into position, all this talk about this
limbo time…this neutral time… all this talk about the end of times…the
end of a cycle... and the beginning of times…the beginning of a new cycle...
these are not mere metaphors. This is a description of energy and consciousness
in motion seeking and finding its place and becoming anchored steadfastly into
its new slot… its new formation…its new momentum…its new acceleration,
and allowing yourself to know your place within it, to find your place within
so that you will know you fit…so that you know you belong, so that you will be able to experience the effortless belonging, rather than the struggle you have experienced for generations.
Now, in what you call your new timing of the new revelations of information, if you wish to term it... your new millennia, then will be seen in short order the time-space-reality illusion... for what it is. And if you then will allow yourself to know more concretely, more fully…more quickly, to know who you are... what you are and make a determination and live according to that.
Then, when the time-space
illusion begins to break down and fade away, you will then be capable of being
left with that which is the only thing that exists and that is yourself…your
true, core, natural self. And that will be enough. Because you will see and
you will begin to experience
that that has always been what has filled your entire reality, and all the illusion of the vastness of space and time, has always been with you…yourself... your idea of yourself, your belief of yourself, your notion of yourself, your notion of reality.
Time to bring the notion back home…inside, within…instead of without. Time in many ways to break the mirror and let the glass shatter and fall away, so that any and all reflections will be inner reflections, will be inner knowingness…will be insight into yourself, so that any and all experiences will add to the knowledge of who and what you are and will no longer be projected outward... onto others, projected outward onto outer reality, which keeps it separate from yourself.
All experience is happening within you... there is no outside, except as you create there to seem to be.
Now is the time…this
limbo time, for you to come to terms with the idea that there is no outside,
that it all takes place inside you…within your consciousness, within one point…here and now…the eternal creative moment, because that's all there is, all there ever has been, and all there ever will be.
And this will be the awakening of the Christ Consciousness, the Buddha Nature…the Krishna Spirit, whatever you wish to term it, for that will be the time when names do not matter, for the experience of yourself will be the only thing that matters, and as we have said, the experience of yourself will be seen and felt to be synonymous with the experience of the One, in all the ways that can be manifest, in purer form…with more open eyes, more awareness in consciousness and less illusions and less filters…these no longer serve you, for it is past time and it is time to put away those toys.
We thank you for allowing
us to share this perspective with you and we remind you that as we share these
ideas, not only were your ears paying attention, but all the cells of your body
were letting the information in on different levels. And it is within you and has always been,
and now is the time to allow it to wake up, and become lucid in your own dream of life, become not just the idea of lucid dreamers...but lucid livers.
You are the event of creation itself. Live your dreams ... instead of merely dreaming about living. Changing your reality is just a matter of changing what you have been taught to believe. There is only one here, there is only one now, there is only one moment. Your consciousness doesn't exist within physical reality. Physical reality exists within your consciousness.
In this the age of transformation you can become lucid in the physical dream... and choose more consciously the dream you prefer to live. Responsibility is the ability to respond instead of react. The more important relationship you have is the relationship you have with yourself. The most spiritual act is to live your life as joyfully and creatively as possible. The present is not the result of the past.
Allow yourself to be your natural self instead of your normal self. Make a friend of the unknown ... it is the only place you will discover your true self. The reality your experience is a reflection of what you believe is most possible. Every situation is fundamentally neutral ... you supply the meaning.
You are spirit having a human experience. You are designed to function as a reflection of the infinite. There is no reality, except what you believe to be true ... and that's what reality is. Follow your excitement. Abundance is the ability to do what you need to do, when you need to do it.
Lunch with God
There once was a little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with Twinkies and a six pack of Root beer and he started his journey.
When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old woman. She was sitting in the park just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the old lady looked hungry, so he offered her a Twinkie. She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her a root beer. Once again, she smiled at him. The boy was delighted!
They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word. As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave, but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old woman, and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever.
When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, "What did you do today that made you so happy?"
He replied, "I had lunch with God." But before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? She's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!"
Meanwhile, the old woman,
also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look
of peace on her face and he asked, "Mother, what did you do today that
made you so happy?" She replied, "I ate Twinkies in the park with
God." But, before her son responded,
she added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected."
Too often we underestimate
the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest
compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all equally!
In me who am like an infinite sea, the boat of the world is driven here and there by the wind of its own nature. I remain unaffected. I am the boundless sea, let the waves of the world rise and fall in it. I am neither increased nor diminished thereby.
In me, the infinite ocean, arises the imagined universe. Tranquil and attributeless, my Self abides for ever. The infinite and ever pure Self is not in the object, nor is the object in it; free from attachment and desire, ever tranquil, in this truth I abide. Indeed I am Consciousness Absolute, and the world is a magic show. The thought of acceptance and rejection does not exist in me.

Conversations with God (Excerpt)
How can I begin?
Be a light unto the world, and hurt it not. Seek to build, not to destroy. Bring my people home.
By your shining example. Seek only Godliness. Speak only in truthfulness. Act only in love. Live the Law of Love now and forevermore. Give everything, require nothing.
Avoid the mundane.
Do not accept the unacceptable.
Teach all who seek to learn of Me.
Make every moment of your life an outpouring of love.
Use every moment to think the highest thought, say the highest word, do the highest deed. In this, glorify your Holy Self, and thus, too, glorify Me.
Bring peace to the Earth by bringing peace to all those whose lives you touch.
Feel and express in every moment your Divine Connection with the All, and with every person, place, and thing.
Embrace every circumstance, own every fault, share every joy, contemplate every mystery, walk in every man's shoes, forgive every offence (including your own), heal every heart, honour every person's truth, adore every person's God, protect every person's rights, preserve every person's dignity, promote every person's interests, provide every person's needs, presume every person's holiness, present every person's greatest gifts, produce every person's blessing, and pronounce every person's future secure in the assured love of God.
Be a living, breathing example
of the Highest Truth that resides within you.
Speak humbly of yourself, lest someone mistake your Highest Truth for a boast.
Speak softly, lest someone think you are merely calling for attention.
Speak gently, that all might know of Love.
Speak openly, lest anyone think you have something to hide.
Speak candidly, so you cannot be mistaken.
Speak often, so that your word may truly go forth.
Speak respectfully, that no one be dishonoured.
Speak lovingly, that every syllable may heal.
Speak of Me with every utterance.
Make of your life a gift. Remember always, you are the gift!
Be a gift to everyone who enters your life, and to everyone whose life you enter.
Be careful not to enter another's life if you cannot be a gift.
(You can always be a gift, because you always are the gift - yet sometimes you don't let yourself know that.)
When someone enters your
life unexpectedly, look for the gift that person has come to receive from you.
What an extraordinary way of putting it. Why else do you think a person has
come to you?
I tell you this: every person who has ever come to you has come to receive a gift from you. In so doing, he gives a gift to you - the gift of your experiencing and fulfilling Who You Are.
When you see this simple truth, when you understand it, you see the greatest truth of all:
I HAVE SENT YOU NOTHING
Conversations with God III (Excerpt)
I want to tell you, My dearest children, that this matter of Who You Are, and Who You Choose To Be, is of great importance. Not only because it sets the tone of your experience, but because it creates the nature of Mine.
All of your life you have been told that God created you. I come now to tell you this: You are creating God. That is a massive rearrangement of your understanding, I know. and yet it is a necessary one if you are to go about the true work for which you came.
This is holy work We are up to, you and I. This is sacred ground We walk. This is the Path. In every moment God expressed Himself in, as, and through you. You are always at choice as to how God will be created now, and She will never take that choice from you, nor will She punish you for making the "wrong" choice. Yet you are not without guidance in these matters, nor will you ever be. Built into you is an internal guidance system that shows you the way home. This is the voice that speaks to you always of your highest choice, that places before you your grandest vision. All you need do is heed that voice, and not abandon the vision.
You describe yourself as being one step away from the poorhouse. I look at you and see a quite different thing. I see a person who is one step away from the rich house! You feel you are one pay check away from oblivion, and I see you as one pay check from Nirvana.
Now much depends, of course, on what you see as your "pay" - and to what end you are working. If the object of your life is to acquire what you call security, I see and understand why you feel you are "one pay check from the poorhouse". Yet even this assessment is open to correction. because with My pay, all good things come to you - including the experience of feeling secure in the physical world. My pay - the pay off you get when you "work for" Me - provides a great deal more than spiritual comfort. Physical comfort, too, can be yours.
Yet the ironic part about all this is that, once you experience the kind of spiritual comfort My pay off provides, the last thing you'll find yourself worrying about is physical comfort. Even the physical comfort of members of your family will no longer be of a concern to you - for once you rise to a level of God consciousness you will understand that you are not responsible for any other human soul, and what while it is commendable to wish every soul to live in comfort, each soul must choose - is choosing - its own destiny that instant. Clearly, it is not the highest action to deliberately abuse or destroy another.
Clearly, it is equally inappropriate to neglect the needs of those you have caused to be dependent on you. Your job is to render them independent; to teach them as quickly and completely as possible how to get along without you. For you are no blessing to them so long as they need you to survive, but bless them truly only in the moment they realize you are unnecessary.
In the same sense, Gods greatest moment is the moment you realize you need no God. A true Master is not the one with the most students, but one who creates the most Masters. A true Leader is not the one with the most followers, but one who creates the most Leaders. A true king is not the one with the most subjects, but one who leads the most to royalty. A true Teacher is not the one with the most knowledge, but one who causes the most others to have knowledge. And a true God is not one with the most servants, but one who serves the most, thereby making Gods of all others.
What you think, you create. What you create, you become. What you become, you express. What you express, you experience. What you experience, you are. What you are, you think. The circle is complete.
The holy work in which you are engaged has really just begun, for now, at last, you understand what you are doing. It is you who have caused yourself to know this, you who have caused yourself to care. And you do care now, more that ever before, about Who You Really Are. For now, at last, you see the whole picture.
Who you are, I am. You are defining God. I have sent you - a blessed part of Me - into physical form that I might know Myself experientially as all that I know Myself to be conceptually. Life exists as a tool for God to turn concept into experience. It exists for you to do the same. For you are God, doing this.
I choose to re-create Myself
anew in every single moment. I choose to experience the grandest version of
the greatest vision ever I had about Who I Am. I have created you, so that you
might re-create Me. This is Our holy work. This is Our greatest joy. This is
Our very reason for being.
A mushy :
There was a woman who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and had been given three months to live. So as she was getting her things "in order", she contacted her pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes. She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she would like read, and what outfit she wanted to be buried in.
The woman also requested to be buried with her favourite Bible. Everything was in order and the pastor was preparing to leave when the woman suddenly remembered something very important to her.
"There's one more thing," she said excitedly. "What's that?" came the pastor's reply. "This is very important," the woman continued. "I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand." The pastor stood looking at the woman, not knowing quite what to say.
"That surprises you, doesn't it?" the woman asked. "Well, to be honest, I'm puzzled by the request," said the pastor.
The woman explained. "In all my years of attending church socials and pot luck dinners, I always remember that when the dishes of the main course were being cleared, someone would inevitably lean over and say, 'Keep your fork'.
It was my favorite part because I knew that something better was coming...like velvety chocolate cake or deep-dish apple pie. Something wonderful, and with substance! So, I just want people to see me there in that casket with a fork in my hand and I want them to wonder "What's with the fork?" Then I want you to tell them: "Keep your fork....the best is yet to come.
"The pastor's eyes welled up with tears of joy as he hugged the woman good-bye. He knew this would be one of the last times he would see her before her death. But he also knew that the woman had a better grasp of heaven than he did.
She KNEW that something better was coming. At the funeral people were walking by the woman's casket and they saw the pretty dress she was wearing, another favourite Bible and the fork placed in her right hand. Over and over, the pastor heard the question "What's with the fork?" And over and over he smiled.
During his message, the pastor told the people of the conversation he had with the woman shortly before she died. He also told them about the fork and about what it symbolized to her. The pastor told the people how he could not stop thinking about the fork and told them that they probably would not be able to stop thinking about it either.
He was right. So the next time you reach down for your fork, let it remind you ever so gently, that the best is yet to come. Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us. Show your friends how much you care.
The Moment of Quantum Awakening
At the moment of quantum awakening, change will occur rapidly, rippling across the terrestrial surface like a wave. Everything in the earth's gravitational field will be affected in some way. There will be a time of massive change, of change on a scale that has no historical precedent, though it does have antecedents in the prehistoric events of this and of distant worlds. The changes that your generation will experience before it passes the torch to another are more fundamental than those that accompanied the agriculture evolution-and those changes took thousands of years. They are more far-reaching than the changes of industrialization, which took nearly three centuries to transpire. Yet, deep and fundamental, massive though these present changes are, they will occur within the span of just a single life.
Properly understood, these changes and their coming have the ability to inspire a degree of hope and optimism unprecedented in the history of your race; for they spell the end of mankind's subconscious condition and therefore portend, as the scriptures of the world foretell, an end to bloodshed, starvation, warfare, exploitation, and needless suffering.
Within your lifetime you will witness revelations that will show the foolness of much that was once deemed wise. You will watch as traditions and historical habit patterns once assumed to be survival imperatives are discovered to be detriment to a healthy life and to a healthy society. Behavior that made sense for creatures who imagined they were islands of individuality is abandoned by those who experience the interconnectivity of all life. The consciousness that is awakening upon this world is no respecter of Darwin values. Its perception brings new values and new ways of being. During these decades you are seeing the descent of the Angels of Healing. Even now, all around you-and perhaps in your own life-they are incarnating. In some cases these are beings who have not known human form since before the decent of historical time.
It is possible that you are among those who have held only a tenuous and flickering connection with your incarnational successions. It is no matter for judgment. Those who incarnate now, those who bring the fullness of their eternal talents, attributes, and perspectives into today's people, are the agents of healing. They alone have it in their power to experience this awesome time of transition as glorious or traumatic. All are invited to remember their essence, their purpose, their reason for being here, and to bring through into this age of transition the sense of celebration that invariable accompanies such remembrance.
Our numbers upon the earth have grown rapidly since our first large-scale arrivals began in the late 1960's. Yet it is not quantity, not numbers that will make the difference, but the quality of our compassion, the quality of the love that radiates from our hearts. Every individual who becomes a clear and undistorted channel for eternal love into these times offsets a thousand who remain locked in the dissolving values of the old.
We are rapidly dispelling what remains of human illusion, helping all to identify with the growing currents, the energies and the forces of love and life. You are already living in the dawning of the age of Planetary Awakening, the age of peace and community building. It is here now for the most sensitive to its fragrance, texture, majesty, and vision. The age has begun when the earth is to be cultivated like a flower garden and her gifts presented as conscious offerings to the gardeners of eternal beauty, the age when humankind return its gifts to the earth, to her soil, her streams, her mountains, her oceans, her creatures of water, air, fire, and clay.
The future, as always, holds an element of surprise. Yet some things are as certain as the movement of the stars. A mother never knows exactly what hour she will give birth to her child, but since she has a "due date," an approximate time when the baby is expected and will most likely be born. For millennia now there have been those in various traditions of both East and West who have known that the earth has a due date something during the second decade of the twenty-first century. Though there will be much awakening of individuals prior to the first unified movement of the awakened planetary organism, this movement, like a first breath, will occur in but a single moment. It is then that the Star Maker will consciously awaken in all systems of human biocircuitry capable of sustaining universal awareness.
Babies are sometimes born early, sometimes late. So be aware, be vigilant. Do not discount the possibility that the moment might come as a thief in the night. And do not be among the foolish who will wait until the last moment to come to terms with the rising awareness. This is to be an important occasion. It is the event that is central to all of human history. Our emphasis for many thousands of years now has been and continues to prepare you for this single moment. For though the changes will be dramatic, they need not be traumatic.
Though they will bring a fundamental human revisiting of reality's nature, this need not be perceived as threatening. Essentially, it is a positive and joyous event. The consciousness that will eventually emerge will be the consciousness of the Eternal One, the Creator, the Being of Life, awake and aware for the first time inside a material universe. Human circuitry is designed to accommodate this consciousness. In much the same way that your individual cells understand their relationship to you, each awakened human being understands him- or herself in hologramatic relationship to this unified field of awareness.
Since this perception of
self differs significantly from historical perception, its emergence in
collective human consciousness presents the potential of disorientation in those who might react to its coming in fear. We have much to do before the preparation of human consciousness is complete. Still, even if the awakening were to occur in this very moment with no further preparation, it would be an event of unprecedented beauty. However, in that case fewer people would be in a position to appreciate it. We wish to maximize enjoyment and minimize discomfort for all concerned. If human beings understand more fully what is occurring, they will be less likely to react in ways that would cause them unnecessary discomfort.
Regardless of whether one accepts this change or attempts to back away from it, this event will be of greater power than any the earth has ever seen. More energy will be released in a very few moments than is typically released upon the surface of the earth in many years. This energy will take the form of heightened perception and deepened emotional connection, rejoining the individual and God.
Though this unprecedented time of intensified energy radiation still lies a few years before you, you are already near enough to it and the event will be so powerful that time is behaving with increasing subjectivity, bubbling and warping, creating islands of the future wherever there are those who deliberately invoke the energies of the emerging consciousness and demonstrate willingness to live their lives in love.
These are not disconnected islands beneath the receding seas of historical illusion. They are united in a veritable continent of rising awareness. As the new reality comes fully into human consciousness (at that moment when the Creator's luminous field comes into perfect alignment with the Earth Mother), all illusion of destructive nature will be dissolved. Though there have been many centuries leading up to this moment, when the moment comes it will be decisive.
There will be a great shift then, a single moment of quantum awakening. In this moment, the smallest interval of time measured in these dimensions-this interval that occurs in every atom between each of its billions of oscillations per second-will be lengthened unto infinity. An interval of nontime will expand. Through that expansion eternity will flow. Some will experience this moments as minutes or hours, others as a lifetime. Still others will experience this flash of nontime as a succession of many lives, and some few will, in this moment, know the Nagual itself, the great nameless Presence that exists before and after all these worlds.
In the expanse of the nontime interval, human beings will have all the time they require to realize, experience, and remember full consciousness of their eternal spirits and to recall the origin of their individuality in the primordial fields of being. All will have ample time to recharge their form identity and its biological projection with the awareness of who they are, why they have individualized, and why they have chosen to associate with the planet's human statement. Each one will have the choice to return to biological form or to remain in the fields of disincarnate awareness.
Those who choose to return to human form will do so fully aware of who they are. No longer will they be put partially incarnate; they will resume biological residence with the full memory and consciousness of their eternal natures, sharing the creative capacities of the Star Maker, whose reflective cells they will then know themselves to be.
Subconscious orientation in fear will be replaced by conscious orientation in love. The sudden release of power, as the polarity of the collective human emotional field shifts from outer to inner orientation, cannot be avoided no matter how smoothly we seek to guide the transition. All will feel an unmistakable surge of power in the instant of quantum awakening. This is as inevitable as the daily rotation of the earth's continents into and out of the light of the sun.
But the effects? The implications? There is no way to predict them. They depend on the choices you make today. By extrapolating current trends of consciousness we can establish a probable range of effect. But there may be as many as eight billion people incarnate at that moment, each with complete freedom of choice. And though the choices each one makes in his or her lifetime prior to that moment will certainly predispose that person in one direction or another, there are no guarantees, no assurances.
The spiritual polarity of collective human consciousness did shift one before, triggering a reversal of the earth's magnetic field, a shifting in the position of the poles, and a great deal of destruction. However, that shift was a shift from consciousness to subconsciousness.
We will have a degree of control during this conscious shift that was absent then and so do not expect the same sort of cataclysmic shock waves. Still it would be underestimating the variables to assume that earth changes will not accompany this event. Almost certainly some will. These will be for the most part of benevolent nature-a melting of the polar ice caps, for example, bringing rain to arid regions and helping to cleanse toxins from polluted lakes and rivers, a warming and simultaneous moistening of climate that will open to agriculture the extensive plains and fertile river valleys of Greenland, Antarctica, and certain of the world's deserts.
To minimize the trauma of
this moment for you and others of the human family, it is important that you
prepare for it well ahead of time, establishing the habits that will leave your
self-understanding fluid, relaxed., and trusting in the overall benevolence
of the universe and its resident intelligence.
The best way to prepare for any future moment in time is be fully in the present moment now.
The only habit you must cultivate, though it may go against the programming and traditions of your society, is to allow your consciousness the relaxed flow of attention that brings you a clear and accurate picture of the phenomenal world and continuous awareness of the Eternal Presence from which it has unfolded. Such a state of consciousness will allow you to enjoy the rushing energy currents and heightened awareness that will sweep through the earth during the expansion of the nontime interval and will maximalize the stabilizing influence that radiates from you into your local surroundings.
Long before the moment of collective awakening there will have been established a sufficient core of people functioning on higher frequencies of awareness to enable the harmonic currents of their respective amplified radiations to displace the influence of those who may react in fear, both at the moment of collective awakening and beforehand. The frequency radiations or vibratory emissions of fear are not harmonious. Their effect on collective human consciousness increases at an arithmetical rate (1,2,3,4, etc.) for each additional person whose behavior is centered in fear, but they do not build in the kind of geometric progression (2,4,8,16, etc.) that is characteristic of the harmonic radiations of love.
Before the final instant of final awakening, the radiations of love will constitute the predominant vibrational influence on collective human consciousness, even while a numerical majority remains centered in the historical orientation. That condition is now very near. You who have motivated by love bring to bear on collective human awareness an influence much greater than your historical reason might suppose.
Individually you have an impact on the collective predispositions of your species far greater than that of those who are merely trodding the timeworn paths of self-centeredness. You who do your best to make your decisions out of love, who refuse to be controlled by the subconscious machinations of fear, who take time, if necessarily, in difficult situations to proceed slowly, consciously, lovingly, are truly among our own. Your awareness of these things will soon be in full. You are upon we can depend during the coming shift.

SPROUT ON A GOLD STATUE IN SOUTH KOREA
"Flowers that bloom only once every 3,000 years are budding on the head of a sacred Buddhist statue." Buddhist priests in South Korea say the legendary flowers blossoming on the forehead of KUAN YIN the Compassionate" only appear "when the 'Sage King of the Future' (also known as Maitreya, the future Buddha--J.T.) comes into the world," which one Buddhist leader called, "a delight that gives joy beyond description."
"The Miracle of the Flowers, as it's now being called, happened in the Chonggyesa Temple," in a suburb of Seoul, the capital of South Korea. "Tens of thousands of pilgrims are flocking to see the white blossoms on the tip of the eyebrow of the shining, gilded statue of Kuan Yin."
"'Kuan Yin is a gentle Buddhist deity who refused to enter paradise (Nirvana--J.T.) because she heard the cries of suffering humanity,' says religious expert Dr. Kenneth Ireland. 'She is acknowledged to save the soul of everyone on Earth, turning her back on none.”
"Many are now saying that the monastery of Chonggye-sa could become the Buddhist Lourdes because many cures are being performed there.'" "According to the monks, 21 threadlike stems are growing from the statue of Kuan Yin, each with a tiny white flower 'no bigger than the tip of a ballpoint pen.'"
"This is the first time in the 1,000-year history of the monastery that the flowers have blossomed."
"Buddhists say sighting the flowers is like witnessing the birth of Buddha," he added. "Experts say it's unthinkable that the 500-year-old statue of Kuan Yin, gilded every three years over the (original) woodwork, could produce growing flowers without divine intervention."
"Botanically, the flower is related to the ficus,' says botanist William Grant, 'There is just no way it could take root in the statue." Dr. Ireland says the flowers are regarded as divine in India, Japan, and China and are believed to bloom only when a momentous event is about to happen."
Buddhist monks are currently keeping a prayer vigil at the statue, waiting for the event that will change mankind's future forever."

“My true religion is kindness.” – the 14th Dalai Lama
One Sunday Morning
One Sunday morning during
service, a 2,000 member congregation was surprised to see two men enter, both
covered from head to toe in black and carrying sub-machine guns. One of the
men proclaimed, “Anyone willing to take a bullet for Christ remain where
Immediately, the choir fled, the deacons fled, and most of the congregation fled. Out of the 2,000 there only remained around 20.
The man who had spoken took
off his hood, looked at the preacher and said “Okay Pastor, I got rid
of all the hypocrites. Now you may begin your service. Have a nice day!”
And the two men turned and walked out.
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FLOWER
THE PARK BENCH WAS DESERTED AS I SAT DOWN TO READ, BENEATH THE LONG, STRAGGLY BRANCHES OF AN OLD WILLOW TREE.
DISILLUSIONED BY LIFE WITH GOOD REASON TO FROWN, FOR THE WORLD WAS INTENT ON DRAGGING ME DOWN.
AND IF THAT WEREN'T ENOUGH TO RUIN MY DAY, A YOUNG BOY APPROACHED ME, ALL TIRED FROM PLAY
HE STOOD RIGHT BEFORE ME
WITH HIS HEAD TILTED DOWN AND SAID WITH GREAT EXCITEMENT, "LOOK WHAT I'VE
IN HIS HAND WAS A FLOWER, AND WHAT A PITIFUL SIGHT, WITH ITS PETALS ALL WORN - NOT ENOUGH RAIN, OR TOO LITTLE LIGHT.
WANTING HIM TO TAKE HIS DEAD FLOWER AND GO OFF TO PLAY, I FAKED A SMALL SMITE AND THEN SHIFTED AWAY.
BUT INSTEAD OF RETREATING HE SAT NEXT TO MY SIDE, AND DECLARED WITH OVERACTED SURPRISE, " IT SURE SMELLS PRETTY AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL TOO"
THAT'S WHY I PICKED IT; IT'S FOR YOU
THE WEED BEFORE ME WAS DYING OR DEAD, NOT VIBRANT OF COLOURS: ORANGE, YELLOW OR RED.
BUT I KNEW I MUST TAKE IT, OR HE MIGHT NEVER LEAVE. SO I REACHED FOR THE FLOWER, AND REPLIED, "THANKS, JUST WHAT I NEED."
BUT INSTEAD OF HIM PLACING THE FLOWER IN MY HAND, HE HELD IT MID-AIR WITHOUT REASON OR PLAN.
IT WAS THEN THAT I NOTICED
FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME THAT WEED-TOTING BOY COULD NOT SEE. "HE WAS BLIND"
I HEARD MY VOICE QUIVER, TEARS SHONE IN THE SUN, AS I THANKED HIM FOR PICKING THE VERY BEST ONE.
"YOUR WELCOME," HE SMILED, AND THEN RAN OFF TO PLAY, UNAWARE OF THE IMPACT HE'D HAD ON MY DAY
I SAT THERE AND WONDERED HOW HE MANAGED TO SEE, A SELF-PITYING WOMAN BENEATH AN OLD WILLOW TREE.
HOW DID HE KNOW OF MY SELF-INDULGED
PERHAPS FROM HIS HEART, HE'D BEEN BLESSED WITH TRUE
THROUGH THE EYES OF A BLIND
CHILD, AT LAST I COULD SEE
THE PROBLEM WAS NOT WITH THE WORLD;
THE PROBLEM WAS ME!
AND FOR ALL OF THOSE TIMES I MYSELF HAD BEEN BLIND,
I VOWED TO SEE THE BEAUTY IN LIFE, AND APPRECIATE EVERY SECOND THAT'S MINE
AND THEN I HELD THAT WILTED
FLOWER UP TO MY NOSE
AND BREATHED IN THE FRAGRANCE OF A BEAUTIFUL ROSE
AND SMILED AS I WATCHED THAT YOUNG BOY, ANOTHER WEED IN HIS HAND, ABOUT TO CHANGE THE LIFE OF AN UNSUSPECTING OLD MAN.
TWO TRAVELLING ANGELS STOPPED TO SPEND THE NIGHT IN THE HOME OF A WEALTHY FAMILY. THE FAMILY WAS RUDE AND REFUSED TO LET THE ANGELS STAY IN THE MANSIONS GUESTROOM. INSTEAD THE ANGELS WERE GIVEN A SMALL SPACE IN THE COLD BASEMENT. AS THEY MADE THEIR BED ON THE HARD FLOOR, THE OLDER ANGEL SAW A HOLE IN THE WALL AND REPAIRED IT.
WHEN THE YOUNGER ANGEL ASKED WHY? THE OLDER ANGEL REPLIED, "THINGS ARE NOT ALWAYS AS THEY SEEM."
THE NEXT NIGHT, THE PAIR CAME TO REST AT THE HOUSE OF A VERY POOR, BUT VERY HOSPITABLE FARMER AND HIS WIFE. AFTER SHARING WHAT LITTLE FOOD THEY HAD, THE COUPLE LET THE ANGELS SLEEP IN THEIR BED WHERE THEY COULD HAVE A GOOD NIGHTS REST.
WHEN THE SUN CAME UP THE NEXT MORNING, THE ANGELS FOUND THE FARMER AND HIS WIFE IN TEARS. THEIR ONLY COW, WHOSE MILK HAD BEEN THEIR SOLE INCOME, LAY DEAD IN THE FIELD. THE YOUNGER ANGEL WAS INFURIATED AND ASKED THE OLDER ANGEL HOW COULD YOU HAVE LET THIS HAPPEN? THE FIRST MAN HAD EVERYTHING, YET YOU HELPED HIM, SHE ACCUSED. THE SECOND FAMILY HAD LITTLE, BUT WAS WILLING TO SHARE EVERYTHING, AND YOU LET THE COW DIE.
"THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS WHAT THEY SEEM" THE OLDER ANGEL REPLIED. "WHEN WE STAYED IN THE BASEMENT OF THE MANSION, I NOTICED THERE WAS GOLD STORED IN THAT HOLE IN THE WALL. SINCE THE OWNER WAS SO OBSESSED WITH GREED AND UNWILLING TO SHARE HIS GOOD FORTUNE, I SEALED THE WALL SO HE WOULDN'T FIND IT. THEN LAST NIGHT AS WE SLEPT IN THE FARMERS BED, THE ANGEL OF DEATH CAME FOR HIS WIFE. I GAVE HIM THE COW INSTEAD. "THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS AS THEY SEEM"
SOMETIMES THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THINGS DON'T TURN OUT THE WAY THEY SHOULD. IF YOU HAVE FAITH, YOU JUST NEED TO TRUST THAT EVERY OUTCOME IS ALWAYS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW IT UNTIL SOME TIME LATER. SOME PEOPLE COME INTO OUR LIVES AND QUICKLY GO. SOME PEOPLE BECOME FRIENDS AND STAY AWHILE... LEAVING BEAUTIFUL FOOTPRINTS ON OUR HEARTS... AND WE ARE NEVER QUITE THE SAME BECAUSE WE HAVE MADE A GOOD FRIEND!
YESTERDAY IS HISTORY. TOMORROW IS A MYSTERY. TODAY IS A GIFT.
THAT IS WHY IT'S CALLED THE PRESENT. I THINK THIS IS SPECIAL.... LIVE AND SAVOR EVERY MOMENT... THIS IS NOT A DRESS REHEARSAL!
NOW DON'T THROW THIS AWAY BECAUSE IT COMES FROM A VERY SPECIAL ANGEL.
RIGHT NOW, SOMEBODY IS VERY PROUD OF YOU. SOMEBODY IS THINKING OF YOU. SOMEBODY IS CARING ABOUT YOU!
Aliens Among Us
(Here's a totally awesome true life story a friend of mine sent to me)
We were at the Channon markets and browsed up to the Raelian stand (I'm assuming you know all about the Raelians - something to do with aliens coming to take us away and human cloning, I read some stuff of theirs about 2 years ago and knew I didn't need to know any more).
Anyway I'm standing there talking to Cam and Meg about the crop circles on the poster and Chief Raelian starts explaining about aliens to Ramise. I can see she is trying to be reasonably polite, but after a while she makes some comment to him and ...
Chief Raelian: (slightly belligerent) "Have you ever seen an alien?"
Ramise: (takes off her hat) "I am an alien".
Chief Raelian: (hands on hips, getting more belligerent) "Well .. where's your space ship?" (and I just know he wants to add "smartypants" and poke out his tongue at her)
Ramise: "I'm living in it!" (points to her body and then turns and walks nonchalantly away)
Sai Baba came to me in my dreams, and he zipped off his human suit to reveal his light body underneath. Shekanah
Another friend of mine was visited by Swami in her dreams, he showed up naked, she said, "Sai Baba, you're naked", he said, "is that all you can see?"
