OneGroup

Your first 60 days…exploring the essentials

1. Clarity

When joining ONE Group you have an opportunity to grow a local, national or international business. But before you step into your new venture, take a little time to reflect on WHY you are joining. Explore your personal values and your own W.I.I.F.M. (what’s in it for me). Your time spent on doing this can save you much time and effort later on. These questions can aid as a prompt.

* How do ONE Group & its products add value to your life or that of your family? Does this fit perhaps with wanting to play a role in educating others about the dangers of using non-certified organic skin and body care products, and the benefits of using the Miessence and Mivitality product range? Do you have concerns of the amount of pollution and damage being done to the planet by the use of a multitude of harmful pesticides? How will these concerns link in with your new business? Do you want financial independence or a greater capacity to help others?

* What do you hope to achieve & by when? How do you define success and how will you know you’re there? What parameters will let you know?

* How will your ONE Group business support your life long dreams and aspirations?

* How much time are you prepared to put into the business? Do you know what will be required according to your goals?

* What is your driving passion that this business can assist with?

Discuss these issues with your sponsor so that you are clear as to why you are doing the business? When the WHY is in place, the rest will follow. Clarity leads to power.

2. Set your intentions

Once you are clear on your W.I..I.F.M. you can set up your intentions. What this means is creating a precise vision of your future. What do you want included in your near and distance futures? What kind of people do you want to attract? Where do you want to position yourself in the marketplace? What structures do you need to set up that will automatically support you?

It means deciding both what you want and what you don’t want. For example, you may want to attract people who think like you or have similar interests or values. You may want people who challenge or stimulate your own thinking. Or do just want anyone who shows up? Both can happen – it depends on you.

Imagine using a web search engine such as ‘google’ and typing in something vague or non –specific. You will receive an appropriate response! Probably thousands of links, some related to what you want – and probably some with little or no relation to what you were thinking.

However, if you enter a specific search request, you’ll also get an appropriate highly targeted response. Both are possible – you choose.

The value of setting precise intentions is that you are more likely to attract those kinds of people into your business. You will spot them when you meet them…and you will also know when someone is likely to sap your energy and waste your time.

Some people are better off just being preferred customers – you don’t have to turn everyone into a business builder – some people are either not ready or have no interest in doing so.

So here’s what to do…

· Write a list of the qualities of the people you want to attract into your business for example: passionate; proactive; easy to work with; teachable; enthusiastic etc.

· Describe your dreams and the relation with your ONE Group business. Put it on paper. Revisit this often. Use treasure mapping or other colourful ways of making it come alive.

3. Set up

Get all the resources and systems you need to run your business together. These can include

· a separate business bank account
· business cards
· international phone card (for conference calls – see page )
· email address
· connection to the Internet
· newspapers
· audio tapes
· training CD’s
· magazine articles

4. Go!

Purchase a Fast Start Pack

The best way to start your business is the way you want others to start in the future. Your new people will tend to follow you, so how you start is important both short and long term. Ask any successful representative and they will suggest new representatives always purchase with a Fast Start Pack. This is simply an order of 250 PV or more. It will give you a range of products that you can start using – and then telling others why they are so good. You can’t do that except from personal experience!

Given that new people will always ask, ‘How did you start?’ what you do here will influence your future business – forever! If someone cannot afford it there are alternative options. Either wait until they can afford before joining or talk to family or friends and presell individual items from the product range so that their money is quickly recouped. They can make up 250 PV with any products they want.

(list other advantages of buying a FS pack)

Use as many of the products as you can and replace appropriate items from the Miessence range as often as you can. The more you use the products, the easier it is to speak from personal experience.

5. Marketing strategies

Choose up to 3 strategies that you feel comfortable with. The 100-newspaper (ask your sponsor for details) strategy is proven to work. There are many others including; - selling the products at markets or trade fairs, direct mail, placing small advertisements in appropriate newspapers or magazines, faxing or emailing prospective businesses, holding Miessence parties, establishing your own marketing web site. And much more…. But remember that multi level marketing’s principle tool is WORD OF MOUTH. Every person you meet is a potential customer or business builder

Get together with your sponsor for assistance. They can help to advise you on various options. The key is to put together a mix that best suits YOU. Create an appropriate monthly budget depending how you want to grow your business.

6. Become educated

What you know will influence what you can do. You are about to undergo a learning curve! There are several options available to you. Your sponsor will be you can do yourself. Here’s what to do…

· explore your web site. Go everywhere you can. Look up products, read the compensation plan, check your genealogy, find out how to transfer money to your own bank account. Pay particular notice to the ‘upcoming events’ under the ‘what’s happening’ section. Your web site will contain most of what you need to know so put it to good use. If you are not sure ask your sponsor or upline

· go to meetings whenever you can…and take someone with you! It is a great place to meet others, get new ideas and support, introduce new people to the products and business, …… and learn.

· find out who your upline are and introduce yourself - they can be of great help to you. Make yourself known.

· participate in conference calls – (that’s what the international phone card is for). You will learn an enormous amount and will have an opportunity to talk to the Directors and other experts or leaders in the field and ask specific questions.

Education and communication is the glue that will keep growth in your organization. This means your own education and that of potential representatives or customers. Obviously you cannot be the ‘oracle’ straight away but it should be part of your goal to be able to answer effectively every question you are asked. If you don’t know the answer, don’t pretend you do – just go and find the answer and get back to them.

7. Building your team

Your initial goal is to sponsor 3 representatives (apart from those who wish to be
preferred customers). It is your responsibility to assist them to also sponsor 3
representatives and it is their responsibility to find and train 3 representatives etc.

Communication -keep in regular touch with your team and your customers, if you need to check an answer to a query, do so promptly, it tells that person that you deem their query as important. Follow up leads promptly. Most importantly, really listen to what people say.

Set an example

New people will follow what you do; there is no better way of teaching.

Some Tips from Jannine

1 – have your folder of resources organised

2 – Commit to a conference call once a fortnight until you feel on top of all aspects of the business. Your empowerment alone will attract people.

3 – actively follow up your main leaders to see if they need assistance.

4 – Phone yours shops at least once a month ( a visit is even better ) and see what you can do for them. I have some great ideas on that if you would like to talk to me! Let you downline know this too, in fact, please pass this email to them.

5 – Visit your website: Look at the pdfs and forms that you haven't had a chance to look at yet

6 – use your product!! ( this should have been no.1)

It is always more inspiring to put energy into something that is showing a return, so check your comp plan and identify what is the next step for you to balance your lines and get that extra income.
