Australia

PayPal Australia members! Now you can use PayPal in your local currency without hassles. By adding Australian Dollars to our list of supported currencies, PayPal makes it easier for you to make and accept payments domestically without worrying about currency conversion or foreign exchange fees.

PayPal lets you choose which currencies to accept and how you would like to accept them. When a buyer sends a payment in a currency you hold, the funds will automatically appear in your account in the balance of that currency. When a buyer sends a payment in a currency you do not hold, you will be asked to Accept or Deny the payment.

In order to open an Australian Dollar balance, simply accept an Australian Dollar payment and open a new balance. After that, Australian Dollar payments will automatically go to your account. You can also choose to use Australian Dollars as your Primary Currency. You may manage your currency balances at any time from your Account Profile.

No matter what you accept as your primary currency, you can always send or receive payments in any of PayPal's six supported currencies: Australian Dollars, U.S. Dollars, Pounds Sterling, Euros, Canadian Dollars, or Yen.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Special Introductory Pricing for Australian transactions

To celebrate the inclusion of the Australian Dollar in its list of currencies, PayPal is offering you special introductory pricing on all your domestic Australian transactions.

For a limited time, you will pay no more than 2.4% + $0.40 AUD per transaction—as low as 1.4% + $0.40 AUD, depending on volume—when you receive money from buyers within Australia. This is some of PayPal's lowest pricing ever, so be sure to take advantage of it.

The chart below shows the special pricing tiers for domestic transactions in AUD.

Domestic Fees—Introductory Pricing (for payments within Australia)

| Monthly Volume Received in AUD
Currency of | Standard Rate | Merchant Rate
Payment | $0–$5,000 | $5,000.01–$15,000 | $15,000.01–$150,000 | Above $150,000

Fees in AUD | 2.4% + $0.40 | 2.0% + $0.40 | 1.7% + $0.40 | 1.4% + $0.40

In addition to this new low pricing, you'll enjoy no bank withdrawal fees for amounts above $150.00 AUD. This, combined with the new ability to send or receive money in Australian Dollars, means PayPal has never been easier to use.
